My name is Andrew Tijerina, I am the founder and lead investigator of R.I.P (Research into the Paranormal)

What started out as just some high school kids getting into to trouble and staying out all night turned into a passion for investigating. While most have moved on, I still miss the days of getting out and exploring the supernatural and paranormal side of things and this has lead to a YouTube channel, a few videos of investigations around East Texas and now a website to share my experiences. My goal now is to ensure investigations are done systematically and always following a standard process to ensure reliable, respectful and ethical practices are in place.

10 Principles for R.I.P Investigators

YOU WILL:

1. Not commit any illegal acts and will always seek permission before any investigation.

2. Conduct yourself in a respectful and ethical manner at all times.

3. Provide comfort to those who have lost and those that are scared.

4. Always be a sceptic, looking for alternate theories on unexplained anomalies.

5. Document and ensure safe keeping of evidence.

6. Inform and Validate experiences with evidence.

7. Properly categorize all evidence.

8. Provide any unaltered evidence to any fellow R.I.P investigators for secondary-analysis.

9. Add to our knowledgebase to ensure we are growing and sharing our experiences.

10. Ensure your tools are properly stored and calibrated before any investigation.
